The Garden Rooms
The Garden Rooms brings the rhythm of Norfolk’s seasons to the table, with lunch and dinner shaped by what’s gathered from our kitchen gardens.
Vegetables, herbs and fruit are picked just a few steps from the kitchen, while our meat and fish come from trusted Norfolk producers and Cromer’s fishing fleet.
Our two AA rosettes reflect the care that goes into every plate – thoughtful cooking, honest ingredients and a setting that feels rooted in this place. The Garden Rooms continues to grow as one of Norfolk’s most inviting spots to dine, where guests can enjoy the best of the county in its freshest form.

Sundown
Sundown is The Grove’s laid‑back dining space, serving tapas, seafood and fresh stone‑baked pizzas inside our giant tipi. It’s a relaxed Norfolk restaurant made for long evenings, shared plates and easy summer dining, just a short stroll from Cromer’s shoreline. Open on Fridays and Saturdays – and Sundays on Bank Holiday weekends – Sundown returns every school holiday from Easter through to the end of October. With simple, seasonal dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s one of the most enjoyable places in Norfolk for casual lunch or dinner during the warmer months.
Please note, online bookings have an eight-person maximum, please phone for larger groups. With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow pets into our restaurants.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea at The Grove is served from 1pm to 4pm in the calm of our Georgian house, with a menu of delicate sandwiches, warm homemade scones and seasonal cakes. Everything is prepared in the same thoughtful way as our lunch and dinner menus, using ingredients that reflect the character of Norfolk. Guests can choose from traditional teas, flowering jasmine or a sparkling option, creating one of Cromer’s most inviting afternoon tea experiences and a gentle pause in the day.
