The Grove Local Community Fund
2026 applications are now open
Local support, shared generosity, and a community we’re proud to be part of.
In autumn 2022, we launched The Grove 300 Club — a small, joyful idea that has grown into something genuinely meaningful. Each month, members are randomly selected to win a prize, and with every membership purchased, 50% of the proceeds go directly into our Community Fund, supporting organisations making a difference within ten miles of Cromer.
It’s a simple concept with a big heart: the more members we welcome, the more we can give. At full capacity, the 300 Club could raise up to £7,500 each year for local causes — funding that stays right here in our community.
Every September, local not‑for‑profit organisations are invited to apply. Funding decisions are made by an independent committee, based on clear, costed proposals and the positive impact each project will bring. Any vested interests are declared, and all successful organisations are listed publicly, ensuring transparency and trust at every step.
Recent Community Support
- 2023 – £1,200 raised Supporting Cromer Cares and Cromer Lifesaving Club
- 2024 – £1,800 raised Supporting Cromer Methodist Café, Cromer Men’s Shed and Suffield Park Infant School
- 2025 – £1,325 raised Supporting Mustard Seed at St Martin’s Church and Cromer Exhibition Foundation
As Chris Graveling puts it: “We’re all really excited about this. In theory, we could raise £7,500 a year for Cromer, which could make a huge contribution to the community and local environment — but even if it’s a fraction of that amount, it will still be a great benefit.”
To join the 300 Club, you simply need to be on our mailing list — you’ll find the sign‑up at the bottom of this page.
