…..And we’re back.
January has been a very busy time for us, with refurbishment, planning 2015 and beyond and now we have reopened with a Burns Night-bang and bagpipe blast, which went down as a roaring success. So much so that we are going to do make it an annual event.
2015 is going to be a special year for us. We are planning to convert our last remaining bedroom, number 8, into a luxury master bedroom complete with a 12-square-meter bathroom. We are planning a new conservatory bar due to popular demand. Glamping is going in-house, through The Grove Glamping and bookings are coming in thick and fast for what is going to be a really exciting experience for those wishing to sleep in the luxury bell tents, which are complete with wood burners, for the chillier evenings. Also for glampers, we are offering delicious food hampers; breakfast, barbeque, and cheese and wine. There are plans for a barbeque area, which will allow us to do gourmet barbeques in the warmer months, including Sunday lunches and private dining in our Secret Garden.
This year we will be taking part in The Crab and Lobster Festival in May, North Norfolk Restaurant Week in September, Coast Arts Festival in October and of course putting on our ever-popular carol service just before Christmas.
One of our main focuses for 2015 is the garden, we are planning to keep up the tradition of supplying as much of the fruit and vegetables served in our restaurant as we can from our vegetable garden, and if you drop by in the mornings, you will probably see a couple of our kitchen crew out in the sunshine sourcing food for diners to delight over later that day.
If 2015, our 79th year by the way, is anything as fulfilling as 2014, then we are in for a busy twelve months of fine food, friends, families and fun. Bring it on.
